Microsoft is unifying its analytics platform under Microsoft Fabric, which brings changes to how Power BI Premium per capacity licenses are purchased and renewed. This transition will allow you to retain all the current capabilities of Power BI Premium while gaining access to new features integrated with Azure.
Existing licenses will continue to function until the next renewal, but migration to Fabric capacity will be required to keep using them.
Microsoft Fabric includes all the features of Power BI Premium and adds new Azure-integrated capabilities such as enhanced security, advanced access management, support for data and AI projects, and cloud-exclusive functionalities.
